July 2026 Invitational Hiring Event

We are hiring and we want to meet you.

On July 17, 2026, Washington Headquarters Services and the Office of the Secretary of War are hosting an Invitational Hiring Event at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Several federal organizations will be in the room, all with open positions and all ready to interview on the spot. If you are the right fit, a job offer could happen that same day.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for motivated professionals across a range of career fields including contracting, financial management, engineering, facilities, IT, law enforcement, and more. Whether you are transitioning from military service, returning to the workforce, or ready to take the next step in your federal career, this event was designed with you in mind.

Your Invitation and Time Slot

Your invitation will indicate whether you have been scheduled for a formal interview or a meet and greet with a hiring organization. Please review your invitation carefully and plan to arrive at the time specified. Not all attendees will have a scheduled interview, and that is perfectly fine. Meet and greet sessions are an opportunity to connect directly with hiring managers, learn about open positions, and make a strong impression.

What to Expect

When you arrive, you will have the opportunity to meet directly with hiring managers and human resources professionals from multiple federal organizations. Interviews will take place on site. Candidates who are the right fit may receive a job offer before they leave.

What to Bring

Bring two printed copies of your resume. Resumes must not exceed two pages. Bring a printed or digital copy of your invitation. Professional attire is recommended.

Come ready to talk about your experience and your goals. If you have relevant certifications, licenses, or letters of recommendation, bring those as well.

Check-In

Check-in is quick and contactless. A QR code station will be available on site. Simply scan upon arrival and your check-in is complete.

Parking

A Few Important Notes

Some positions require an active security clearance. Candidates without a clearance are still encouraged to attend as many positions do not require one. All positions are full-time federal government roles with competitive pay, federal benefits, and long-term career growth within the Department of Defense.
